Murphy Dome Diaries

A journalist observes life in the far north.

Tonight’s the night

I am glued to the blogs looking for information on what’s going on at the summit of Everest.

Jade is sitting on the futon, grunting.

Rose, our dog, is licking the floor beneath Jade’s high chair.

Across the world, standing at nearly the same height as an average Boeing 747 flies, is Alec.

From what I can gather, it’s windy this morning high in Nepal but teams are going ahead. Alpine Ascents has some summiters.

I read on The Adventure Blog that a climber had to be helped to a lower camp but it doesn’t say who.

Damn Alan Arnette for going to bed. I like his Everest news aggregate the best.
